The Congo Mission Network will host its annual conference March 14-16, 2024, at the Charleston-Atlantic Presbytery Conference Center, 4701 Park Place West, in North Charleston, SC. This year, the entire Charleston Atlantic Presbytery (CAP) will be conference host, extending hospitality and sharing God’s love.
At the conference, partners in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the United States will gather both in person and virtually. All meetings will be in the comfortable, recently renovated Presbytery Building. Virtual participants will tune in via live video conferencing. We will send Zoom links to registered participants each day. Sessions will be scheduled at times convenient in both Congolese and U.S. time zones.
Here are two good housing options to consider. One comfortable, economic option is a bunk room at the CAP Conference Center for $20 per night. The presbytery makes these newly renovated bunk rooms with showers available to mission teams throughout the year. Conveniently located in the same building as the conference, the bunk rooms are three dorm-style bedrooms –two with ten beds each and one with 14 single bunk beds. All have new mattresses. Rooms are separated by gender. There is a bathroom for men and one for women, each with toilets/sinks and showers. Guests are asked to bring their own linens, to include pillow and towel. If you are flying in, please arrange with Charlotte White for linens. Many people simply bring a sleeping bag. Continental breakfast is included. Another excellent option is the official conference hotel, Holiday Inn Express and Suites Airport and Convention Center, 3025 W. Montague Ave., North Charleston, SC 29418. It is just 2.2 miles from the CAP Conference Center. A block of rooms has been reserved for in-person participants, with rooms beginning at $149 per night.
